“Breast Cancer under siege”.
wars, conflicts, stresses impact the immune systems, hormones, body functions.
Syrian Conflict through 7 years has it’s great bad effects on women health, and on the cancer occurences especially Breast cancer, as i believe that Breast cancer increases with stress and grieves, Breasts screening and early detection and diagnosis are impossible under these circumstances, So most of the victims jump to Stage 3 and 4.
Absolutely-Loss of spouse, kids, relatives and friends to death and jai ling-economic crisis and starvations, unhealthy diets, fear and stresses and depression are indirectly accused of increasing the breastcancer occurence. A minah (37years old) patient who was diagnosed with locally advanced breast cancer said to me: Doctor I lost my husband and two kids by bombing after three months I felt with the mas I’ve to believe her? maybe yes, as stress aggravates cancer growth.
Through the period extended from 2011-2018.
I’ve 100 women whom were diagnosed with breast cancer, all of them under 45 years and most from sieged and corrupted areas
all of them endured traumatic life events (loss of family, depression, chronic diseases, assets loss, refuginess, homeless..).
Conclusion: War, Conflicts, may affect your nervous, endocrine, and immune system chronic stress may weaken your Immune system leaving you with less resistance to disease and maybe to cancer.
